Memzo vs AccioPix: a web event page, or the chat guests already have

Memzo and AccioPix handle the same core task. A guest snaps a selfie. The system pulls up the photos they are in. The two platforms differ on two counts. Memzo delivers them on a web event page. It costs ₹1.50 a photo or a monthly subscription. AccioPix sends photos inside WhatsApp. It charges ₹0.20 a photo. Memzo gives more to photographers who want to sell photos or white-label the gallery.

Memzo, in its own words

On Memzo's home page, the guest "opens the link & clicks a selfie to find their photos", then can view, buy, download and share them. Photographers can upload directly or paste a Google Drive link, embed the gallery on their own website, and sell photos at 0% commission. Memzo keeps photos "upto 2 years for single event use plan", and says photos are "resized and stored in 4k quality".

The arithmetic of a thousand photos

Memzo pricing is set out on its own page, and the pricing page gives the example: "if you share 1,000 photos, the total cost will be ₹1,500 + tax". The same thousand photos on AccioPix cost ₹200, at ₹0.20 each. That is a factor of seven and a half, before tax.

Memzo also uses subscriptions. Basic costs ₹2,499 a month, and Pro costs ₹4,999 a month. Annual billing knocks off 15 per cent. You need a credit card for the 14-day free trial. Memzo offers more on its free plan than we do: up to 300 photo uploads and 1 GB of storage, against AccioPix's first 100 photos. AccioPix has no subscription, and credits never expire.

Selfie to photos

With Memzo, a guest opens an event link in a browser. They take a selfie on the page, where Memzo runs a live selfie and liveness check. With AccioPix, a guest sends a selfie through WhatsApp. The full-size photos come straight back into that chat. The web page fits people who want to look through photos and buy. The chat suits guests who will never click a link.

Privacy

Each tool uses the selfie to show guests only their own photos. AccioPix never keeps the selfie. It compares the shot only to pictures from that single event. A guest opts in by sending it. When the host deletes the photos, the event, or the account, the event's face data is deleted.

How much does Memzo cost?

Memzo costs ₹1.50 a photo. By its own example, 1,000 photos cost ₹1,500 plus tax. It also has subscriptions at ₹2,499 and ₹4,999 a month. AccioPix charges ₹0.20 a photo with no subscription.

Is Memzo free?

Anyone can set up an event on Memzo for free. You get 1 GB of storage and up to 300 photos. Its subscriptions have a 14-day trial that needs a credit card.

Does the Memzo app need guests to install anything?

No. Guests using Memzo open an event link in a browser and take a selfie there. AccioPix guests do the same inside WhatsApp rather than a browser.

Memzo or AccioPix?

If you need to sell photos or host the gallery on your own site, Memzo gives you more. If you want each guest to receive pictures in WhatsApp at the lowest price per photo, choose AccioPix.
