When no rotation is needed, the camera's embedded JPEG is delivered byte-for-byte — zero quality loss. Turn off to re-encode every photo at the quality below.

Used whenever a photo is re-encoded (rotation baking, or passthrough off). 92% is visually lossless; lower it for smaller files.

How this RAW converter works

You do not need heavyweight software just to open or share a RAW file. Every camera saves a ready-made JPEG preview inside its RAW files — this tool finds it and hands it to you, instantly.

1

Finds the embedded preview

Your camera renders a JPEG preview into every CR2, NEF, ARW or DNG it writes — usually at full sensor resolution. The tool locates it inside the file.

2

Extracts it instantly

No RAW development, no upload, no queue. By default, the preview is extracted byte-for-byte in your browser, so even a 25 MB file converts in under a second.

3

Download as JPGs

Portrait shots are rotated automatically, and the whole batch downloads as a single ZIP, ready to share or deliver.

100% private. Everything runs locally in your browser. Your RAW files are never uploaded to a server, so client shoots and unpublished work stay entirely on your machine.

Frequently asked questions

Which RAW formats does this support?

Canon CR2 and CR3, Nikon NEF and NRW, Sony ARW, Adobe DNG, Fujifilm RAF, Olympus ORF, Panasonic RW2, Pentax PEF and Samsung SRW. It works with any RAW file that carries an embedded JPEG preview, which nearly every camera writes.

Is the converted JPG full resolution?

Usually yes. Cameras save a full-size JPEG preview inside their RAW files — on most modern bodies it matches the sensor resolution, and that is exactly what you download. Some older or compact cameras embed a reduced-size preview instead; the tool tells you whenever a photo comes out below 2 megapixels.

How can it convert RAW files instantly without uploading?

It does not develop the RAW sensor data at all. Your camera already rendered a JPEG preview and saved it inside the RAW file, so the tool just finds that preview in your browser and, by default, extracts it byte-for-byte. A 25 MB RAW converts in well under a second and never leaves your device.

Is this RAW converter free, and are my photos uploaded?

It is completely free, with no sign-up and no watermark. Nothing is uploaded: the conversion happens locally in your browser, so your photos never leave your device.
