Watermark

Or drag the watermark on any preview to put it exactly where you want; every photo follows. A corner mark credits you without spoiling the picture. Tiled covers the whole photo, so it can't be cropped out: use it for proofs.

The watermark's width as a share of the photo's width, so it looks the same on every photo in the batch.

Keeps a white mark readable on a bright sky or a white dress.

For JPEGs: capture time, camera and lens are copied across. The GPS location is always removed.

Written into each JPEG as the author and copyright, which Lightroom and Windows show. It stays with the file even if the watermark is cropped off.

How it works

Your browser does all of it: no upload, no account, no limit on the number of photos, and no watermark of ours on top of yours.

1

Set the watermark

Choose your logo, or a watermark file you already made; no file, and you type your name instead. A JPG logo's white box is removed automatically, working in from the edges so white inside the design stays. Pick the colour, size and opacity, and choose a corner or drag the mark exactly where you want it.

2

Watch every photo update

Drop in the folder and each photo appears with the watermark on it. Change a setting and every preview redraws at once, so you can check the mark on a dark frame and a bright one before you save anything.

3

Save at full size

Each photo is then drawn again at its full resolution and saved in its own format: JPEG at high quality, PNG or WebP. Save one photo, or the whole batch as a ZIP.

100% private. Your photos and your logo never leave this device. There is nothing to delete afterwards, because nothing was ever sent.

Batch watermark a whole folder in one go

Drop a folder of hundreds of photos and set the watermark once. Its size and margin are measured against each photo, so a portrait and a landscape frame carry the same-looking mark, and a mark you drag into place moves on every photo at once. Each photo is then saved at full size one at a time, so a big batch doesn't run the browser out of memory, and the lot downloads as one ZIP. No Photoshop action, no Lightroom export preset, and no limit on the number of photos.

A visible mark, and one in the file

A watermark on the picture tells everyone who took it, and a tiled one stops a proof being used before it is paid for. But a corner mark can be cropped off in a second. That is why the tool can also write your name into each JPEG as its author and copyright, the fields Lightroom and Windows show, so the credit survives the crop. Camera details travel too if you want them; the location never does. Placement, opacity and why a mark alone can be removed are covered in how to watermark photos. To see what else a photo carries, read what EXIF data reveals, or strip it with the EXIF remover.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add a watermark to a photo for free?

Drop the photo into the watermark maker above, choose your logo or a watermark you already made (or type your name if you have neither), and pick where it goes. Press Save under the photo to keep it at full size. It is free, with no sign-up and no watermark of ours.

How do I batch watermark photos for free?

Drop the whole folder into the watermark maker above, or choose a folder. Set the watermark once and every photo follows, scaled to its own size, portrait or landscape. Press Download all to get them at full size in one ZIP. It is free, with no sign-up, and nothing is uploaded.

How do I add my logo to photos?

Press Choose your logo or watermark and pick the file. A plain white or black background is removed automatically, so a JPG logo works as well as a transparent PNG. Choose white, black or the logo's own colours.

Can I use a watermark I already made?

Yes. Choose the file, usually a transparent PNG exported from Lightroom or Photoshop, and it is used exactly as designed: its own colours, and at full strength if it is already see-through, so it isn't faded twice. Then set the position and size.

Where should a watermark go on a photo?

A small mark in a bottom corner credits you without spoiling the picture, and is what most photographers use for delivered photos. A tiled watermark across the whole photo is for proofs, because it can't be cropped out.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser, on your own device. Neither the photos nor your logo are sent anywhere.

Does adding a watermark reduce quality?

The photo is redrawn at its full resolution and saved as a high-quality JPEG, or as PNG or WebP if that is what you gave it. On screen the difference is not visible.

Is the camera information kept?

For JPEGs, yes if Keep camera info is ticked: the capture time, camera and lens are copied across. The GPS location is always removed.
