— use the sliders to frame yourself between the guides.
Finer hair edges from a much larger model. Off by default on phones
because the download takes a while; tick it and drop the photo again.
Edges were cut with the fast portrait model.
On a computer with a current browser, the high-quality engine gives finer hair edges.
This free tool is provided as is, with no guarantee of acceptance — AccioPix takes no responsibility for rejected photos or applications. Photo requirements vary by issuing authority and change over time, so double-check the official instructions before you apply.
Need photos delivered, not just printed?
AccioPix sends every event guest their own photos on WhatsApp via AI selfie matching — no sorting, no group-chat spam.
A passport photo has three requirements: the right size, the right head framing, and a
plain light background. Studios charge for exactly those three things — this tool does them in
your browser, from any decent front-facing photo.
1
AI swaps the background
The same segmentation AI behind our Background Remover
cuts you out cleanly — hair included — and puts you on white, off-white, light grey
or light blue.
2
Your face is framed to spec
A face detector centers you and sizes your head to the standard proportions for the format you
pick — 35×45 mm, 2×2 inch, PAN card or stamp size — with sliders and
on-photo guides for fine-tuning.
3
Download the photo or a print sheet
Get the single photo as a print-quality JPG (600 DPI), or a ready-to-print 4×6 or A4 sheet
with cutting guides — 8 photos of the standard 35×45 mm size fit on one
4×6 print.
Private by design. An ID photo is exactly the photo you don’t want kept anywhere. Every step, from the background to the printable sheet, happens in your browser, so it never leaves your device.
Frequently asked questions
Is this passport photo maker really free?
Yes — free with no watermark, no sign-up and no per-photo charges. The AI runs in your own browser, so a photo costs us nothing and nothing needs to be paywalled.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The background step, face framing and the printable sheet all happen in your browser, and the photo never leaves your device — on older computers too.
Which sizes does it support?
India passport and visa (35×45 mm), US passport and visa (2×2 inch / 51×51 mm),
PAN card (25×35 mm) and stamp size (20×25 mm). Backgrounds can be white, off-white,
light grey or light blue. The single photo downloads at 600 DPI and print sheets at 300 DPI
— both print quality.
How do I print the photos?
Download the print sheet — a 4×6 inch sheet fits 8 photos of 35×45 mm, and an
A4 fits many more. Have it printed at any photo shop or on a photo printer, choosing the
matching paper size with no “fit to page” scaling, then cut along the guides.
Will the photo be accepted for my passport application?
The tool frames your head to the commonly required proportions and gives you a plain light
background, and the guides let you fine-tune the framing. Acceptance is always the issuing
authority's decision though — follow their photo instructions for expression, lighting,
glasses and headwear, and start from a sharp, evenly lit, front-facing photo. This free tool is provided as is, with no guarantee of acceptance — AccioPix takes no responsibility for rejected photos or applications.
